MD Anderson Cancer Center is a leading institution focused on cancer care, research, education, and prevention. As a Senior Public Safety Officer, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for patients, families, and staff. This position provides leadership within the Public Safety team, ensuring security across the healthcare campus while supporting MD Anderson's mission of care, healing, and discovery.
The Senior Public Safety Officer will mentor and guide team members while managing essential security operations. This role requires strong decision-making skills, the ability to respond effectively in emergencies, and a commitment to institutional safety protocols.
The ideal candidate will have an associate degree, IAHSS certification, and demonstrated leadership skills in mentoring and team development. Previous experience in public safety or a related field is preferred, along with a valid Texas driver's license.
Minimum $19.23 - Midpoint $22.12 - Maximum $25.00 per hour based on a 40-hour work week. The typical work schedule includes rotating shifts (days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays) as this is an essential personnel role.
