The Government Relations & Public Policy (GRPP) team helps protect and advance Navy Federal's ability to serve its more than 15 million members by monitoring legislative, regulatory, and political developments that affect the credit union industry.
The team engages with policymakers, regulators, trade associations, and other stakeholders to promote policies that support financial well-being, strengthen access to affordable financial services, and address issues impacting servicemembers, veterans, Department of Defense personnel, and their families.
The Summer Associate Program is a 12-week internship program beginning in May 2027 and ending in August 2027. Students will work on impactful projects and meaningful work during their internship. To qualify for this position, applicants must be currently pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university and have an anticipated graduation date of December 2027 or later.
As part of Navy Federal's Military Affairs & Strategic Partnerships (MA&SP) department, GRPP collaborates closely with business units across the enterprise to assess policy implications, support strategic decision-making, and represent Navy Federal's interests before policymakers, regulators, trade associations, and other external stakeholders.
