Accounts Payable Processor / Front Desk

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Processor / Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for all the company, the Receptionist plays a crucial role in in creating a positive impression and providing excellent customer service to our occasional visitors and employees. This position will also be responsible for processing invoices, managing expense reports and reconciling vendor accounts.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Training will be provided!

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office
• Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office
• Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
• Receive, sort and distribute daily mail and deliveries
• Order office supplies and keep inventory of stock
• Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, scanning and faxing
• Perform company bank deposits at the local banking branch
• Process accounts payable invoices and ensure accuracy and timeliness of payments
• Review and reconcile vendor statements
• Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
• Investigate and solve any discrepancies in invoices and payments
• Assist with month-end closing processes
• Maintain vendor relationships and respond to inquiries in a timely manner

Requirements

• Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
• Proficiency in English, MS Office, especially Excel and accounting software (e.g: QuickBooks)
• Strong attention to detail and accurancy
• Understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable principles
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and QuickBooks preferred
• 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting preferred
