Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Analyze and build financial statements, dashboards, budgets, scenario analysis, forecasts, variance reports, program analysis, growth scenarios, and other ad hoc analyses as needed.
· Participate in all aspects of the budget process including building the budget, budget discussions, and other associated activities.
· Develop and maintain financial models and KPIs to evaluate agency program performance.
· Analyze trends in revenue, expenses, and profitability.
· Assist with cost analysis and margin improvement initiatives.
· Support management with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting requests.
· Ensure data accuracy and compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
· Collaborate with accounting, operations, programs, and leadership teams.
· Prepare journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations as needed.
· Summarize and present findings and fiscal impacts clearly for leadership and program directors.
· Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- · Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- · 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, accounting, or a related role.
- · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- · Intermediate to Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables)
- · Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- · Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders
- · Ability to flex hours for periodic deadline-drive work during month-end and planning cycles.
Preferred Qualifications
- · CPA or MBA preferred.
- · Experience with ADP, Credible, Financial Edge NXT
- · Experience with industry-specific financial analysis
- Physical Requirements: · Must meet physical requirements: normal degree of flexibility; ability to stand, walk, run and shuffle for several minutes; kneel on one and two knees and then stand up; bend 45 degrees at the trunk and twist to either side; able to grasp firmly; able to raise hands above head.
- · Occasionally lift or move materials up to twenty-five pounds.
- · Must be able to sit for long periods of time and do work at a computer screen for several hours each day.
