What will your responsibilities be?
Providing professional supervision, coaching, mentoring, and support to Social Workers, Adult Social Care practitioners, and students.
Promoting and maintaining high standards of practice across the Home First Team.
Managing and supporting complex casework, providing professional guidance and oversight where risks and decision-making are particularly challenging.
Undertaking Care Act 2014 assessments, reviews, and interventions where required.
Supporting strengths-based practice, ensuring all options including informal networks, community resources, equipment, reablement, and Occupational Therapy interventions are fully considered.
Completing and overseeing safeguarding enquiries in accordance with the Care Act 2014 and local safeguarding procedures.
Chairing Best Interest meetings, safeguarding strategy meetings, and other professional forums where required.
Undertaking Mental Capacity Assessments and supporting Best Interest decision-making in accordance with the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
Acting as Safeguarding Manager for complex safeguarding enquiries where appropriate.
Carrying a reduced but complex caseload whilst supporting other team members with challenging cases.
Conducting case audits, quality assurance reviews, and practice observations to drive continuous improvement.
Supporting recruitment, induction, workforce development, and staff retention initiatives.
Managing allocations, supporting duty functions, and ensuring risks are prioritised appropriately across the team.
Supporting Court of Protection applications and reviewing court reports where required.
Working collaboratively with health professionals, Occupational Therapists, community services, and partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes.
Contributing to service development, operational improvement, and performance management activities.
We are unable to support or accept applications from candidates who are residents within the Red or Amber list of the Code of practice for the international recruitment of health and social care personnel in England, based on the World Health Organisation (WHO) Workforce Support and Safeguard List.
