Social Worker - Children In Care

Liquid Personnel is recruiting a Children’s

Social Worker to join its client’s Children In Care team, based in Cheshire West and Chester.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive authority committed to achieving positive outcomes for children and young people in care. The successful candidate will manage a caseload of children in care, undertaking statutory visits, care planning, permanency planning, and working closely with families, carers, and partner agencies.

What will your responsibilities be?

Manage a caseload of Children in Care, ensuring all statutory responsibilities are met.

Complete statutory visits and maintain accurate, timely case recordings.

Develop and review care plans to promote positive outcomes and permanence.

Undertake assessments, reports, and court-related work where required.

Build effective relationships with children, families, foster carers, and residential providers.

Chair and participate in professional meetings, reviews, and multi-agency forums.

Work collaboratively with education, health, and other partner agencies to safeguard children and support their development.

Support children and young people through care proceedings, placement moves, and transition planning.

Ensure all safeguarding concerns are identified and acted upon appropriately.

Contribute to achieving permanence through reunification, long-term fostering, special guardianship, or adoption where appropriate.

Qualifications and Experience:

• To be successful in this role you must have; Qualified Social Worker
• Social Work England Registration
• Experience within a Children in Care / Looked After Children Team
• Strong assessment, care planning, and safeguarding skills
• Experience completing statutory visits and permanency planning
• Ability to work effectively within a multi-agency environment
