LAYIQ - Clinical Educator - Therapist at San Antonio Behavioral Healthcare Hospital

Master’s degree and a valid Texas LMSW, LCSW, LPC-A, LPC license in good standing.
Experience in a behavioral health or clinical setting preferred.
Experience in staff training, education, or professional development preferred.
Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or hospital settings strongly preferred.
Additional Requirements: Must possess or obtain a valid CPR certification and de-escalation training before completing new hire orientation.

Success in this role will be measured by: · Deep understanding of psychological frameworks (e.g., CBT, psychodynamic, humanistic) and human development
· Expertise in utilizing clinical evaluations, recognizing behavioral patterns, and understanding psychopathology
· The ability to provide full attention, interpret nonverbal cues, and process both comfortable and uncomfortable silences
· Skill in understanding the client's perspective deeply, offering non-judgmental support, and building a strong therapeutic alliance
· The capacity to remain emotionally stable, present, and calm—even when exposed to high-stress client disclosures
· Ability to work well as part of a treatment team
· The ability to connect with and support diverse populations without personal biases
· The agility to adjust pacing and treatment protocols to meet the unique, evolving needs of each individual client.

Physical Requirements: · Must be able to sit or remain stationary for extended periods during 45-to-60-minute therapy sessions.
· Must possess the sensory acuity to clearly hear spoken language, speak intelligibly, and observe nuanced client facial expressions and body language in person or via telehealth.
· Ability to lift up to 10 to 15 pounds occasionally
· Bending, lifting, stooping, kneeling, and crouching are required.
· Clear sight and hearing to monitor patient behavior, hear alarms, and communicate effectively, sometimes in noisy environments.
· Potential exposure to hostile or agitated individuals, odors, and sometimes loud noises.
· The ability to handle high-stress situations over long, consecutive work hours.
