Ameresco is hiring a Senior Project Manager to lead two to three solar PV, distributed generation, community solar, and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects concurrently, depending on project size, phase, and complexity. You will coordinate with Business Development and Preconstruction during project development and turnover, then lead execution from Notice to Proceed through construction, commissioning, commercial operation, and final closeout.
The role combines remote project leadership with regular site presence during critical construction, commissioning, and recovery activities and is accountable for safety, schedule, cost, quality, commercial outcomes, and client communication.
This is a hands-on senior project delivery role that combines direct project ownership with cross-functional leadership and mentoring of Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers. This role reports to the Senior Director of Construction – Solar PV & BESS with a preference for candidates located in the Greater Boston area with the ability to work from the Boston office periodically based on business and team needs. Remote U.S.
candidates may be considered for the right fit and will be expected to travel to the Boston office quarterly.
The anticipated base salary range for this role is $134,000 - $194,000 (presented in good faith). In addition to base pay, employees receive a comprehensive benefits package, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off, and may be eligible for performance incentives, bonuses, commissions, or equity, depending on the role.
Actual pay will depend on factors such as internal equity, skills, experience, education, certifications, and location. This range supports our commitment to pay transparency and compliance with applicable laws. Compensation may vary by work location, including remote arrangements.
