Overview
The Microsoft Business Operation - Frontier AI Team
's mission is to agentify and automate Microsoft's business processes, putting the latest AI capabilities to work inside Microsoft as Customer Zero. We partner directly with business teams to rethink how work gets done - building agents, applications, and automations that reduce manual effort, simplify complexity, and deliver measurable business outcomes.
We are looking for a US-based
Senior Technical Program Manager / FDE who can operate as a full-stack AI builder across Power Platform, Microsoft 365, GitHub, Copilot, Copilot Studio, and emerging AI development tools. This is a hands-on builder role for someone who enjoys working directly with business stakeholders, understanding real workflows, challenging assumptions, and rapidly turning ambiguous problems into production-ready solutions.
The candidate brings a learn-it-all mindset, strong technical judgment, product intuition, and the ability to move fluidly from discovery to prototype to deployed solution. This person should be comfortable with AI-assisted development and "vibe coding" - using tools such as GitHub Copilot, GitHub CLI, Copilot, Copilot Studio, and related platforms to accelerate solution development while still owning quality, architecture, reliability, and business impact.
This role is for a product-minded technical builder - someone with a Technical Product Management, Technical Program Management, Forward Deployed Engineering, or full-stack solution-building background who loves using AI tools to turn ideas into working products. The candidate will be comfortable moving from ambiguous business problem to prototype to production launch, owning the solution end to end rather than handing it off after discovery or design.
Success in this role requires both technical depth and product judgment: the ability to understand stakeholder needs, make pragmatic architecture decisions, build quickly, validate with users, operationalize responsibly, and measure whether the solution changes how work gets done.
Microsoft's mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. We foster a culture of growth, innovation, collaboration, respect, integrity, and accountability where everyone can thrive.
Technical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $160,200 - $261,000 per year.
