Title IX Support Specialist
Join BYU’s Title IX Office and help create a safer, more informed, and supportive campus community. As the Title IX Support Specialist, you will help develop and deliver Title IX and VAWA-related education, coordinate prevention and awareness efforts, support students with pregnancy-related concerns, and assist with sensitive university Title IX processes. This meaningful work requires exceptional organization, confidentiality, professionalism, and a commitment to serving students, faculty, and staff.
Required
A firm commitment to the mission of BYU.
Bachelor’s degree or at least four years professional experience in Higher Education or training setting, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Some understanding of best practices of sexual violence prevention, risk reduction, and victim support services is necessary.
Ability to organize and maintain workload and exercise discretion in interpreting and applying established objectives is required.
Technical skills, including the ability to input data into a tracking system, easily create and manage spreadsheets, and host virtual meetings/trainings.
Preferred
Master’s degree and two years professional experience in a Higher Education setting, preferably in the field of Student Judicial Affairs, Training and Development, or Student Conduct.
Some graphic design skills would be preferred.
Experience in developing, implementing, delivering, and evaluating primary prevention and training on sexual and intimate partner violence.
Knowledge of best practices as they relate to institutions of higher education compliance with Title IX and VAWA.
This position comes with fantastic benefits , including:
Pay Grade: 50
Typical Starting Pay: $25.75-$33.50 per hour or $53,500-$70,000 annually
The actual compensation offered will take into consideration internal equity and may vary based on the candidate’s job-related experience, knowledge, skills, and other relevant factors. Candidates with very significant work-related experience may receive an offer higher than the posted typical range.
