Position Overview
The Hagerstown EATS team is looking for an experienced engineer to contribute to the development and advancement of engine aftertreatment hardware systems. This position offers the opportunity to work in a technically demanding, fast-moving environment while collaborating with engineering teams, suppliers, and other functional organizations.
The position will report to the Group Manager responsible for Aftertreatment Engineering.
This role requires an engineer who is comfortable working across a range of technical activities and contributing effectively within a collaborative engineering organization. Success in this position requires a combination of technical capability, analytical thinking, accountability, and strong interpersonal skills.
Builds productive relationships across functions and organizations, communicates openly, and contributes toward shared objectives.
Takes ownership of assigned work, follows through on commitments, and accepts responsibility for decisions, actions, and results.
Interprets technical data, identifies trends and relationships, develops logical conclusions, and uses evidence to recommend appropriate actions.
Maintains high standards for accuracy, follows established processes, and carefully reviews engineering data and results.
Develops and maintains a strong understanding of relevant engineering technologies, processes, and industry practices.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline.
Approximately 2–5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
Practical experience with diesel engines and/or exhaust aftertreatment system development.
Strong written, verbal, and technical presentation skills.
Ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, and take initiative with limited supervision.
Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve complex engineering problems within established timelines.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
Customer-focused and results-oriented approach to engineering.
Salary Range: $75,000-78,000
The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience
