LAYIQ - Research Assistant | Laboratory of Genetically Encoded Small Molecules at Rockefeller University

Perform molecular biology and microbiology experiments, including DNA cloning, PCR, bacterial culture, and protein purification.
Conduct experiments independently and in collaboration with other laboratory members.
Maintain strong organizational practices, attention to detail, and accurate research records.
Communicate effectively and work both independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced research environment.
Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned or requested.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BA or BS in molecular biology, microbiology, biochemistry, biology, or a related field.
Extensive laboratory bench research experience during college.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced research environment.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records and follow standard operating procedures.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, critical-thinking ability, and the ability to work independently.
Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Experience with standard molecular biology and microbiology techniques, including DNA cloning, PCR, bacterial culture, and protein purification.
Experience working independently at the laboratory bench.
