This posting is for Summer 2027 New Graduate opportunities. IMEG is hiring an Electrical Engineering New Graduate in Atlanta, GA, to assist with the analysis, design, and implementation oversight of electrical systems in buildings. This entry-level role offers hands-on design, analysis, and project execution experience, with mentorship, training, and opportunities to grow your expertise from day one.
You will work with experienced engineers and consultants to support project delivery, stay within project budgets, and collaborate across teams to meet project goals and client expectations. You will contribute to high-performance, energy-efficient design aligned with MEP2050 and AIA2030.

What You'll Do
Assist in the design and analysis of electrical systems, creating detailed designs, specifications, and calculations according to code requirements and IMEG standards.
Gather project requirements and communicate technical information with clients while building professional relationships.
Support consulting project execution, including project planning and scheduling tasks.
Document design decisions and client instructions while monitoring design progress.
Analyze low to medium complexity engineering tasks and collaborate with senior engineers and consultants on practical, efficient solutions.
Participate in IMEG quality control processes to help ensure designs meet IMEG quality standards, industry standards, and client requirements.
Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and electrical engineering best practices, and contribute to research, development, and innovation efforts.
Prioritize safety and help identify and mitigate potential safety risks associated with electrical systems.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions that meet project goals.
What You'll Bring
Required Education
Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent required
Engineering in Training (EIT) or equivalent required
Required Skills/Abilities
Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and concepts involved in the production of technical plans and specifications
Strong technical and analytical skills including knowledge of principles relating to circuit theory, electromagnetism, power systems, and electronics as they relate to electrical systems design for buildings
Knowledge of industry standard engineering software and tools, including lighting photometric calculation software such as AGI, Elum Tools, Visual Lighting, or other; energy compliance software such as ComCheck; and familiar use of Adobe or Bluebeam Revu
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges
Basic knowledge in the use of Building Information Modeling (BIM) software
Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to travel up to 5% with occasional overnight stays
Preferred
Prior internship experience in the building design consulting industry preferred
Engineering in Training (EIT) License preferred

Work on complex developments involving residential and office space above retail, structured parking, specialty lighting, restaurant exhaust, and flexible tenant systems.
Recent work includes The Collection at Forsyth: Provided engineering design for a 493,500-square-foot shopping center, including retail and office shell spaces, site lighting and photometrics, and flexible plumbing utilities to accommodate future tenants, Commercial.
