LAYIQ - Chemical Process Engineer at Teledyne FLIR

2-4 years of experience in chemical process engineering. Experience working within the nuclear industry and on DOE or DOD projects is a strong plus.
Lead process engineer experienced in developing preliminary, intermediate, and detailed process design packages.
Familiarity with current codes, standards, and good engineering practices in process design
Analytical skills to develop preliminary cost estimates for proposals.
Thorough knowledge of engineering principles and lead a team from conceptual design to detailed engineering.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Perform critical engineering document reviews and meet project schedule requirements.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university in a related field and a minimum of 2-4 Years of directly related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience or a Master's degree (M.S.) in Chemical Engineering
Experience with with analytical method development for chemical characterization of gaseous, inorganic, or trace species using mass spectrometry, gas chromatography, spectroscopy, or related analytical techniques is a plus.
Experience with separation and concentration of gaseous chemicals is a plus.
Other Essential Duties
Follows all import/export requirements, consulting with facility import/export personnel as required.
Other Skills and Abilities
Basic Knowledge of ISO and/or AS9100
Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing/6 Sigma/Kaizen
Other Qualifications
Active PE License is a strong plus.
