Employees may be required to visit client locations, job sites, or other business-related locations in the course of their duties. In addition, employees may be assigned to clients whose business needs require driving as part of the employee's job responsibilities. Accordingly, employees assigned to positions requiring business-related driving must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
JOB SUMMARY
This position is under direct supervision of the Building Official or the Building Inspector Supervisor. The Building Inspector inspects buildings and structures in all stages of construction. Building Inspectors shall be knowledgeable in the Building, Plumbing, Electrical, Mechanical, and other codes, and ordinances related to building construction and have the ability to review and understand construction plans.
This position requires technical skills in being able to read and understand plans and inspect complex buildings and structures.
