worthy; deserving; fitting; suitable.
A role, opportunity, or path that merits attention, time, and pursuit.
Loading LAYIQ…Paste a job link. LAYIQ checks the employer's own hiring system and shows you the evidence. No sign-up, no résumé.
No tool can read an employer's intent. We cannot see inside a hiring process: whether the team has already chosen someone, whether the budget changed, or how many people have applied. A posting can be real and slow, and a posting can look fine and go nowhere. We do not read LinkedIn, Indeed or Glassdoor pages, and today we can check only Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby postings and jobs listed on LAYIQ. When we cannot check something, the result says so, and that never counts against the job.
| What we check | Why it matters | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Is it still published on the employer's system? | A job that has left the employer's own system is usually closed, even when a job board still shows it. | Greenhouse, Lever or Ashby public job data. |
| How old is it? | Hiring can take months, so age alone is not a warning. A posting over six months old is worth a question to the employer. | The posting date the employer's system gives: Greenhouse's first-published date, Lever's created date, or Ashby's last-published date. |
| Do the dates agree? | Two sources that differ by weeks can mean a role was reposted, which resets its date. | The employer's system and LAYIQ's listing. |
| Is it in LAYIQ's current listings? | A match is another sign the job is live. No match says nothing, because LAYIQ covers only the employer sites it can read. | LAYIQ's current listings. |
| Does the wording read like one role? | Talent-pool and general-application postings are legitimate, but they are not one specific open role. | The posting text from the employer's system. |
| Where does Apply go? | A link to the employer's own site or a known hiring system is what you would expect. | The address you pasted. |

No. The checker shows evidence, not a verdict. A posting can look odd and be real, and a normal-looking posting can go nowhere. Treat what you see as a reason to look closer, not as an answer.
Hiring can take months, and some employers keep a role open until the right person applies. The checker shows how old a posting is and says so plainly. Under six months, age alone does not change the result. Past six months it is marked worth a second look, because that is long enough to be worth asking the employer whether the role is still open.
Job links on Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby, which are hiring systems many employers use, and jobs listed on LAYIQ. For a link to an employer's own careers site, we read the address and look for the job in LAYIQ's listings. We do not read job-board pages or follow shortened links, and the result tells you what we could not check.
We do not read job-board pages. Open the job, choose Apply on company site, and paste that address instead. That link usually points to the employer's own hiring system, which is where we can check.
Nothing about your link is saved to a database or an account. The check runs when you press the button, and the result appears on this page only: it has no address of its own. Our servers keep a copy of a result in memory for up to 15 minutes so a repeat check is quick. It is filed under a one-way hash, and the saved copy leaves out the link you pasted. A one-way code made from your network address limits how many checks one visitor can run. We log anonymous counts and timings, never your link.
No. It is free, with no sign-up. LAYIQ has no sponsored listings and does not sell user data.
Job boards can keep showing a posting for a while after an employer takes it down. The checker reads the employer's own system, which is the better guide. If you think a result is wrong, check the employer's careers page, and tell us.
If a result about one of your postings is wrong, contact support with the posting's address. The checker reads your hiring system each time, so a fix there shows up on the next check, and results are kept for up to 15 minutes.
We fetch only the public job data of the Greenhouse, Lever or Ashby posting you paste, from the hiring system's own public address (boards-api.greenhouse.io, api.lever.co, api.eu.lever.co or api.ashbyhq.com). We never follow the link you paste to another site, and we do not fetch LinkedIn, Indeed or Glassdoor pages.
Our requests identify themselves honestly: the User-Agent is LAYIQ-ListingCheck/1.0 (+https://layiq.ai/tools/ghost-job-checker).
