Distribution Driver – 25 to 37.5 hours per week
Growing Places, www.growingplaces.org, a nonprofit healthy food access organization serving North Central Massachusetts, is seeking a Distribution Driver to support our year-round home delivery and wholesale distribution programs.
The Distribution Driver will operate a large refrigerated van or refrigerated box truck to deliver fresh, local food to households across 20+ North Central Massachusetts communities according to established delivery routes. The driver will also make deliveries to wholesale customers, including food access organizations, businesses, institutions, and community partners, and may pick up local food from farms and other suppliers.
The driver is responsible for safely operating the vehicle, loading and unloading food, maintaining product temperature and food safety standards, completing delivery documentation, and providing professional and friendly customer service. Routes will be pre-planned, but the driver must be comfortable navigating multiple communities, managing delivery schedules, and working independently.
