Leads all private fleet safety operations, regulatory compliance, training programs, and safety performance initiatives across the enterprise.
This position is the senior-most safety manager for all private fleet safety operations and programs. Responsible for day?to?day safe operations of the private fleet and accountable for developing extensive safety processes, policies, procedures, and training programs. Must be an expert on DOT, FMCSA, and CSA regulations to ensure full compliance at federal, state, and local levels.
Serves as primary liaison with JJ Keller, Safety Direct, Omnitracs, and Vertical Alliance to ensure driver files, training, and safety requirements are met.
Job Responsibility
Manage all aspects of private fleet safety and training across all fleet DCs, including orientation, accident reviews, remedial safety training, and post?accident BAT/drug testing. (70%)
- Create, manage, and implement safety KPIs and scorecards ensuring best?in?class CSA scores, DOT audits, and FMCSA ratings.
- Manage annual private fleet safety budget and monitor accidents/injuries/safety cost per mile.
