Required/Basic Qualifications
High School/GED degree
1-year related work experience
Desired Qualifications
Associates degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Prior basic knowledge of power distribution.
Prior knowledge of power tools.
Self-motivated, hard-worker, with desire to learn in a fast pace setting.
Flexible and ready to perform multiple duties depending on priority.
Working Conditions
Field Mobility Classification - Work location is highly mobile, working at various facilities or field locations with occasional onsite meetings after the onboarding period. Employee must live within a reasonable commute to the posted reporting location, not greater than 50 miles one way.
Repair Shop environment – concrete floor walking on asphalt, open touch down space.
Occasional work extended shifts in support of outage activities; some call-out required and must be available to support other Tool Services activities assisting walk-in customers and Tool Repair Tech II’s.
Frequent standing, walking, stooping and bending (position will require raising and transporting up to 50 lbs., occasionally coiled and loose items; must be able to lift 50+ pounds), with hands in water frequently.
Frequent pushing and pulling using physical force and repetitive cleaning motion
Specific Requirements
Self-motivated, hard worker, with desire to learn in a fast-paced setting.
Flexible and ready to perform multiple duties depending on priority.
Possess basic repair knowledge and or has experience involving troubleshooting skills with an understanding of Voltage, Resistance, Current principals, and mechanical skills to make, test, tag assemblies of critical personal protective equipment.
Follows direction around meeting work standards and tool specifications that are consistent and reliable.
Good communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills to clearly articulate business interaction with the internal customer, factory rep and co-workers.
Must report to work on time and able to meet deadlines; ability to prioritize and perform multiple duties depending on priority.
Must be able to handle work responsibilities with minimum supervision but also work as part of a team with a desire to learn in a fast pace setting and be respectful to others.
Knowledge and ability to utilize computer software programs including MS Excel, MS Word, MS Access and internal web-based materials ordering and expense system applications.
Applicant must have a satisfactory safety record and open to adhere to company safe work practices.
