LAYIQ - AV/IT Systems Specialist [R0153764] at University of Nevada, Las Vegas

Five or more years of professional experience, preferably in higher education, including the design, installation, maintenance, and operation of audio-visual solutions in classrooms, conference rooms, and technology-enabled learning spaces.
Experience managing AV projects associated with new construction and renovations.
Experience developing classroom technology standards and collaborating with architects, contractors, and AV integrators.
Credentials must be obtained prior to the employment start date.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
The incumbent must have specific knowledge, skills, and abilities in the following areas:
KNOWLEDGE
Required
Proficient knowledge of AV/IT systems and designs including: AV control platforms (Crestron, Extron, Etc.) video distribution via IP protocols, lecture capture (Panopto), web-conferencing tools (Zoom)
Strong knowledge of AV systems and AV line drawings
Strong knowledge of construction techniques and interpretation of construction drawings
Knowledge of network protocols and configurations to improve collaboration between AV, IT, and facilities teams
Experience working with an enterprise help support ticketing system
Preferred
Experience with Jetbuilt preferred
Experience with Talem3 preferred
SKILLS
Required
Capability to handle direct communication with a high level of professionalism, both electronically and in person
Communicate with customers as it relates to project fulfillment
Ability to multi-task and adapt to a fast-paced environment that varies daily.
Ability to work with other teams to request support of or lend support; look for opportunities for improvements and unresolved challenges.
Ability to keep meticulous records of customer interactions, actions taken and issue resolution.

Experience using drawing tools such as AutoCAD and/or Visio preferred
