LAYIQ - Assistant Director of Faculty-Led Programs at Northeastern University

Knowledge in advising techniques for study abroad programs in a higher education setting. Understanding of the Forum on Education Abroad’s standards and ethics.
Effective oral and written communication to positively engage people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Effective management and prioritization skills.
Effective organizational, project management, administrative, and computer skills.
Excellent problem-solving and strong analytical skills with proven ability to organize, prioritize, and multi-task to meet goals and deadlines.
Ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to interact with global program representatives, faculty, and students in a highly professional manner with an understanding of protocol and confidentiality.
Ability to effectively represent the University to outside institutions and universities.
Knowledge and skills required for this position are typically acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree required (Master’s degree preferred) with previous experience studying or living abroad.
Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office software required. History of creativity in finding solutions to programmatic challenges while proposing initiatives to move GEO toward its goals and objective.
Familiarity with Salesforce, Terra Dotta, and student record systems (e.g., Banner) preferred.
Ability and willingness to work some evening and/or weekend events.
