Research Assistant I
The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is dedicated to eliminating cancer in Texas, the nation, and the world through outstanding programs that integrate patient care, research, prevention, and education. Within the Department of Radiation Oncology - Research, the Research Assistant I role supports innovative laboratory and translational research efforts that advance the understanding of cancer biology and improve patient outcomes.
The Research Assistant I provides technical and coordination support for a variety of research projects through biospecimen processing, molecular laboratory techniques, data management, and experimental analysis. The Research Assistant I works closely with investigators and research staff to maintain laboratory operations and support scientific discovery. The Research Assistant I contributes directly to research initiatives that impact cancer treatment and translational medicine at UT MD Anderson.
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacology, Physiology, Computer Science, Natural Science, Applied Science, or a related research discipline. Preferred qualifications include a medical degree or master's degree in one of the listed scientific fields.
Individuals with strong laboratory skills, scientific curiosity, attention to detail, and an interest in molecular biomarker research, biospecimen management, and data analysis will be well suited for this role.
Minimum $18.99/hour - Midpoint $23.80/hour - Maximum $28.61/hour
