Walmart is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead the development and delivery of scalable platform capabilities, including infrastructure, tooling, and AI/ML frameworks. What you'll do:
Deliver platform capabilities including infrastructure, tooling, and ML frameworks aligned with roadmap milestones and domain priorities.
Apply cloud-native architecture principles to ensure scalable, resilient, and agile systems.
Lead full software development lifecycle activities including coding, testing, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
Conduct system design reviews to validate feasibility and ensure alignment with architectural best practices.
Build AI-driven applications and integrate ML components using multiple programming languages.
Mentor engineers, influence technical decisions, and promote standardization and sustainability.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical requirements and track success metrics.
Drive continuous improvement through code quality reviews, innovation, and knowledge sharing.
What you'll bring:
Proven expertise in cloud-native architecture, including microservices, containers, and automation to ensure scalable and resilient systems.
Strong software development skills across the full lifecycle, including coding, testing, CI/CD deployment, and maintenance.
Experience in platform engineering, infrastructure tooling, and AI/ML integration using languages such as JavaScript, Python, Java, and C++.
Ability to conduct system design reviews and apply software design patterns for secure, maintainable, and modular solutions.
Demonstrated leadership in mentoring engineers and influencing technical decisions for long-term sustainability.
Proficient in data-driven decision making, debugging, and requirements analysis to optimize engineering outcomes.
