Overview
The Radiology Advanced Practice Provider (Radiology APP) is a licensed NP or PA-C employed in Fluoroscopic and Interventional Radiology (IR) will be trained and expected to perform a combination of various gastrointestinal and genitourinary fluoroscopy studies, diagnostic and therapeutic arthrograms, lumbar punctures, myelograms, CT guided bone marrow biopsies, nuclear medicine injections, paracentesis and thoracentesis procedures, chest tubes, central lines/ports and Aspira drains.
Additional training will be required for the Radiology APP r to perform pediatric fluoroscopy. The Radiology APP will provide IR directed patient care including pre/post procedural evaluation and consultation
The Radiology APP demonstrates excellent customer service performance in that his/her attitude and actions are at all times consistent with the standards contained in the Vision, Mission and Values of Covenant HealthCare and the commitment to Extraordinary Care for Every Generation. The Radiology APP will function in a supervised and independent capacity with the Covenant HealthCare physician team. Supervision, where necessary, will be provided by the practice’s designated supervising physician.
