GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under the general guidance of the medical director, the Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with diseases and adverse health conditions following the written guidelines approved by the department.
The APP will work with with the Hospitalist Group where they will collaborate with physicians and other APPs to care for medical patients. The role includes managing patients in the inpatient setting by evaluating patients on the day of admission, daily rounding, completing medical consultations and coordinating the discharge of patients. The APP will help support other hospital staff to provide high-quality care with the institutional goals of efficiency, safety and positive patient experience.
