Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) is the engine behind Microsoft’s cloud, supporting the infrastructure and datacenter operations that enable Microsoft’s cloud services at global scale. Within CO+I, Core Datacenter Services (CDS) is focused on the reliable, efficient operation of Microsoft’s datacenter infrastructure and the services required to maintain and restore IT capacity.
IT Process & Standards (ITPS), a team within CDS, is responsible for improving how production IT infrastructure is maintained and restored to service by standardizing and continuously improving the processes, workflows, and operational controls used by Datacenter Operations.
ITPS works across the IT operations lifecycle, including Breakfix, service transition, planning and scheduling, service management, and operational standards, with a strategy centered on automating IT operations to improve availability and operational efficacy.
We are seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead complex, cross-functional IT Capacity Recovery initiatives.
This role will translate operational data, Kaizen outcomes, and Engineering Group requirements into measurable improvements in Breakfix performance and capacity recovery. The TPM will work across Datacenter Operations, Engineering Groups, and technical partners to connect performance signals to systemic problems, establish clear ownership and actions, and drive solutions from problem identification through implementation and sustained execution.
Technical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $160,200 - $261,000 per year.
