From HOKALI's posting. “We” and “our” refer to the employer.
HOKALI helps schools book, organize, and manage after-school programs and camps. We partner with school communities to create structured, engaging environments for students after the school day ends, with a focus on consistency, safety, and high-quality program delivery.
In this role, you will help create a positive after-school experience for students and families by leading a group with energy, care, and clear structure. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children, can keep a group engaged, and brings a calm, steady presence to the day-to-day flow of an after-care program.
We're looking for someone with proven, hands-on experience running a group of children, not just being around kids. You should already know how to get a group of children to listen, keep them engaged, and maintain a safe, structured environment.
Must-haves
At least 6 months of hands-on experience independently leading groups of children, including being solely responsible for the group, keeping children safe, and managing behavior without another adult stepping in.
Experience leading games and activities for groups of children.
Experience keeping attendance records for groups of children.
Willingness to complete required training before starting, including Mandated Reporter, First Aid & CPR, and Concussion Awareness.
Fluent in English.
Eligible to work in the United States.
Available every weekday afternoon for the full school year.
Preferred
Experience supporting homework for school-age children.
Experience supervising snack time and outdoor play for groups of children.
Experience with middle school students (grades 6-8).
Experience working with both younger children and middle school students.
Experience handling conflicts between children calmly.
Experience documenting incidents involving children, including injuries, conflicts, or parent communication.
Fluency in Spanish.
