This position works collaboratively with the patient care leadership team, hospital medical providers, unit leaders and staff, and multidisciplinary team members to ensure hospital operations run according to policy and regulations and align with Vail Health’s mission, vision, and values.
Responsibilities include being a resource for staff; monitoring for and driving compliance to standards; managing hospital resources in a manner that maintains stewardship and safety; participating and providing leadership in emergent situations; escalating issues as needed to department or executive leadership; ensuring safe, compliant, and coordinated transfer of all patients in or out of the facility; completing necessary follow-up and documentation for all hospital deaths; facilitating the right care at the right time in the right
location through timely throughput; and promoting customer service and patient satisfaction. The ability to effectively communicate, collaborate with team members, and maintain professionalism are key qualities for success in this role.
Five years acute care clinical experience required. Two years leadership experience preferred.
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Colorado or from a valid compact state required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required.
Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computers skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
Must have working knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English.
Associate Degree in Nursing required. Bachelor of Master of Science Degree in nursing preferred.
Pay is based upon relevant education and experience per hour.
$47.79 — $76.21 USD
