About the Role
As an Associate Relations Advisor at H&R Block, you will be the primary point of contact for all associate relations and ethics concerns. Address associate relations concerns for all associates by counseling associates and leaders, mediating and resolving disputes between associates and leaders, and conducting investigations and audits in accordance with company policies and federal, state, and local employment laws; make recommendations for appropriate actions
Respond to associate concerns received via telephone, chat, or email, and provide guidance and coaching to leaders and associates regarding employment and work-related issues; deliver exceptional customer service while addressing associate and leader concerns, promoting fair employment practices
- Determine eligibility for associate, tax student, or candidate accommodations and engage in a good-faith interactive process in accordance with the ADA
- Research, investigate, and recommend appropriate resolutions for complex associate relations concerns while managing a high case volume in a fast-paced work environment
- Ensure detailed documentation of associate relations issues using the case management system
- Ensure all human resources activities comply with H&R Block values and regulatory guidelines, and consistently apply human resources policies and practices
Partner with Associate Relations and People Resource Center leadership, People & Culture Business Partners, company leadership, and other company business partners on escalated issues
- Provide training, guidance, and feedback for seasonal associates
- Foster positive interactions with associates and leaders to help resolve concerns
- Conduct project work related to associate relations or operation activities and present to others as needed

Required Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or the equivalent through a combination of education and related work experience.
Work Experience:
- Conflict resolution skills
- Knowledge of Federal, state and local employment laws
- 5 or more years Human Resources experience
- 5 years minimum related work experience
- Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Pay Range Information
The pay range for this position is listed below. Local minimum wage laws apply. This information is posted pursuant to local requirements to provide applicants with information about what they might be eligible to receive. Individual pay decisions will depend on job-related factors such as experience, education, skill, performance, and geographic location where work will be performed.
Successful candidates may be able to participate in one or more incentive compensation or short-term incentive plans, which could generate additional earnings in accordance with the terms of each plan.
Qualifying associates can enroll themselves and/or their eligible dependents in medical and prescription drug coverage; can participate in the H&R Block Retirement Savings Plan (401(k) Plan), the Employee Assistance Program, (virtual) fitness center programs, and the associate discount program; are automatically enrolled in Business Travel Accident Insurance; and receive Associate Tax Prep benefit.
Pay Range
$62,800.00 - $94,200.00/Yr.
