Copilot Memory is a foundational part of that experience: it enables Copilot Chat to understand durable user context and deliver more personal, proactive, and trustworthy assistance while preserving enterprise-grade controls.
The Copilot Work Memory team is evolving memory from user's work context & history continuity into a governed, evaluable, multi-source capability grounded in user's real communications, documents, meetings and work content. The team is solving hard product and technical problems across memory generation, freshness, retrieval, serving, evaluation, transparency, safety, privacy, latency, and cost.
