LAYIQ - Event Sales Manager at Lefferts Investments, Miami, FL

2–3 years of experience in event sales, private dining sales, catering sales, or similar hospitality roles
Strong understanding of restaurants and food & beverage operations
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a fast-paced environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proposal writing and client presentations
Exceptional organizational and time management abilities with strong attention to detail
Ability to build and maintain client relationships and deliver outstanding customer service
Proficiency in CRM systems and booking platforms (e.g., OpenTable, Tripleseat, SevenRooms, or similar)
Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event needs
Professional demeanour with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly on-site
Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, Business, or a related field is preferred but not required
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish (preferred).
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to analyze client needs and translate them into customized event solutions
Demonstrated skill in problem-solving and conflict resolution, especially under time-sensitive or high-pressure conditions
Ability to make sound decisions independently while aligning with company policies and guest expectations
Capable of prioritizing tasks and managing multiple events or leads simultaneously
Strong judgment and discretion when handling sensitive client information or service issues
Ability to quickly adapt to changing circumstances, last-minute client requests, or operational challenges during events

Clear vision and hearing required for effective communication with clients and team members in person, over the phone, and via video conferencing
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The Event Sales Manager primarily works in a professional office setting within the hotel but frequently moves between various areas of the property, including restaurants, banquet halls, kitchens, and event spaces. The role involves a combination of desk work, client meetings, and on-site event coordination, often requiring flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays to support events and client needs.
