The AVP, Compliance Governance and Reporting Lead is responsible for driving the effectiveness and ongoing enhancement of the Compliance Program’s governance, risk reporting, metric oversight, and management reporting routines. The AVP will oversee key Compliance governance processes and serve as a trusted partner to Compliance Leadership by synthesizing complex information and translating it into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership.
The AVP will also lead governance for key Compliance committees, risk appetite and KRI oversight, control execution, regulatory and examination support, and the Compliance Program Master Schedule. In addition, this role will identify opportunities to strengthen governance, reporting analytics, and processes through improved data, automation, and standardized practices.
Own and continuously enhance key Compliance governance routines , including the Compliance Sub-Committee and other senior management forums. Partner with stakeholders to identify appropriate topics for escalation and discussion; develop agendas and decision-ready materials; facilitate effective meetings; maintain action and decision logs; and ensure timely follow-through on commitments.
Synthesize complex compliance and risk information into concise, executive-level reporting and insights for Compliance leadership, ERMC, the Risk Committee, and other senior governance forums. Identify relevant information, emerging concerns, and areas requiring management attention rather than simply consolidating information provided by others.
Oversee Compliance risk appetite and key risk indicator (KRI) reporting , coordinating submissions across stakeholders. Assess the completeness and quality of metric reporting, challenge breaches where appropriate, and ensure reporting aligns with established reporting standards.
Manage and enhance the Compliance Program Master Schedule to provide leadership with a view of key Compliance monitoring activities and their implications for Compliance risk. Proactively identify upcoming reviews and follow up before items become overdue. Work with the eGRC team to evolve the Master Schedule module into a more effective governance tool by enabling automated reminders, status updates, and workflow-based approvals, reducing reliance on manual email and spreadsheet tracking.
Execute and oversee key Compliance Program controls designed to validate the integrity of the regulatory inventory, including confirming that regulatory requirements are appropriately mapped to applicable processes and controls; identifying orphaned requirements; and driving timely remediation and closure.
Support regulatory examinations, internal audits, and other supervisory engagements by coordinating Compliance responses, developing executive-ready materials, tracking commitments and deliverables, and ensuring consistent communication regarding program status and risk matters.
Drive continuous improvement of Compliance governance, reporting, and analytics processes by evaluating existing routines, documents, meeting structures, and workflows; identifying opportunities for simplification, standardization, and improved effectiveness; and leveraging tools such as Tableau, Excel, workflow tools, and emerging technology to enhance transparency, automate reporting, and reduce manual processes.
Serve as a trusted partner across Compliance Risk, Legal, Internal Audit, and the First Line of Defense , independently engaging stakeholders, resolving issues, anticipating downstream impacts, and driving work from ambiguous objectives through recommendation and execution.
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
