EDC in the allocation of resources among its properties.
Position Overview:
The Senior Facilities
Technician supports the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and performance of building systems across a multi-building campus. This role serves as a key technical resource, focusing on hands-on troubleshooting, system reliability, vendor coordination, and support of capital projects. The position works closely with internal teams, contractors, and external partners to help maintain safe, efficient, and compliant facilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilties:
Building Systems Operations & Technical Support
Support daily facilities operations across multiple buildings to help ensure continuity of services.
Perform hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and building automation systems (BAS).
Conduct routine inspections of mechanical rooms, rooftops, and infrastructure to assess condition and identify maintenance needs.
Diagnose system issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive solutions.
Monitor system performance and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
Support the implementation and use of CMMS and BAS platforms for tracking and optimization.
Participate in on-call rotations and assist with emergency response and after-hours maintenance as needed.
Vendor & Contractor Coordination
Coordinate and monitor third-party vendors and contractors performing maintenance, repairs, specialty services, and facility improvement work.
Assist in reviewing scopes of work and proposals to ensure alignment with operational needs.
Capital Projects Support
Support capital improvement projects, system upgrades, and infrastructure repairs.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure projects are executed with minimal operational disruption.
Assist with site assessments, project walkthroughs, and closeout documentation.
Compliance & Safety
Support compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations (including NYC DOB, FDNY, OSHA, and EPA requirements).

Salary Range
$84,000 — $86,000 USD
