The Airport Customer Service (ACS)
Above and Below Wing Ambassador intern is a position that aims to help Delta Air Lines achieve its divisional goals and contribute to its overall success. The intern assigned to this position will have individual duties to complete but will also be expected to work on a larger project that will be presented to Leadership at the end of the semester.

As part of the Customer Experience business unit, Airport Customer Service (ACS) and Cargo (CGO) directly impact Delta’s customers from welcoming them at the ticketing counter to providing a clean and enjoyable airport experience to ensure on-time bag arrival when they land at their destination. ACS and Cargo support over 22,000 of the best airport operations professionals in the industry across 300 destinations, 52 countries, and six continents.
Students joining the Internship Program with Airport Customer Service (ACS) will be assigned to work on a team based on the availability of opportunities, the needs of the business, and the matching of skills and career interests. Specific responsibilities for each assignment will be discussed with candidates selected for an interview. The teams include:
Gain hands on experience in airport operation by supporting both customer-facing and ramp activities. Interns will learn how Delta teams work together to ensure safe, efficient departures and arrivals while delivering excellent customer service.
Airport Customer Service: Premium
Work alongside the Premium Customer Service team to support high-value customers and enhance the airport travel experience.
Interns will gain exposure to hospitality, customer engagement, and premium service operations.
Onboard Services
Explore the operation behind delivering an exceptional inflight experience. Interns will learn how onboard teams support flight attendants, manage catering and supplies, and ensure cabin readiness for customers.
Flight Operations
Discover the fast-paced world of airline flight operations. Interns will gain insight into how pilots, dispatchers, and operational teams work together to maintain safety, reliability, and on-time performance across the network.
Ramp Operation
Participants are trained in Ramp Control and Deicing Procedures. You will be assigned an area each day via a supervisor.
Participants are moved to additional locations if necessary, depending on business need
Deicing
Pay Range: $23.23
Standard hours are generally 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, though schedules may vary depending on department needs and business demands.

Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
Ability to tackle multiple projects at once, adhering to different timelines and working with many partners to ensure alignment and consistency within each project
Desire to learn leadership techniques and best practices in problem-solving and conflict resolution to enable innovation and progress on difficult-to-solve challenges
Working as an intern does not guarantee a full-time opportunity upon graduation. This position is intended to provide you with educational and professional work experience to prepare you for the workforce

Ramp Control
Ramp Controller is responsible for movement of all operating aircraft (under their own power or tow) in the designated Delta controlled ground movement areas (i.e., apron, ramp, hangar, etc.).
Primary contact between the FAA, ATC, Airport Authority, Terminal Operator and Delta in the coordination of aircraft movement
Gives pushback authorization and taxi clearance for departing flights.
Communicates effectively with Gate Keeper, MTC, Move Team, FAA Liaison, Metering Coordinators, and terminal 4 operator (IAT) to provide efficient movement and adjust to any changes.
Maintain situational awareness and immediately interject additional communications when potential traffic conflicts are anticipated or arise that may cause incident or potential accident.
Communicate pertinent information from the crew to respective areas only when it impedes traffic management or aircraft has an emergency. All other times instruct pilots to utilize Operations Frequencies.
Pertinent Info included but not limited to: Ground equipment blocking gate, A/C waiting for parkers, FOD on the ramp, medical emergencies, mechanical problems.
