We have exciting opportunities across different business units, each seeking a skilled professional to lead strategic initiatives and drive process improvements within our supply chain network. As a strategic Supply Chain Manager, you'll take end-to-end ownership of operations, emphasizing capacity planning, logistics optimization, network design, and analysis of operational efficiency.
In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business, operations, program management, product, finance, and more. Utilize your analytical prowess to identify opportunities for operational improvements, implement scalable systems, and drive automation to enhance efficiency, with a particular focus on optimizing the physical flow and operations within the supply chain network.

Key job responsibilities
Own the long-term network plan for AMXL's middle mile network, including the multi-year sort center topology, linehaul connectivity and carrier mix strategy, and capacity plan.
Own the inputs, outputs, and assumptions of the network optimization models used to build those plans, working with the science teams who develop them.
Author the full year plans and planning documents for your segment through Amazon's annual and three-year planning cycles, and present recommendations to Director and VP leadership.
Lead cross-organizational workstreams on network strategy, such as externalization and hard regionalization, with Operations, Finance, Transportation, and Retail partners.
Analyze and synthesize data to identify opportunities for enhancing customer experience and operational efficiency in the network.
Define metrics, develop mechanisms, and invent and simplify processes to drive decision-making in complex network situations.
Collaborate with stakeholders across functions, influencing and facilitating agreements to achieve shared network goals.
Amazon Extra Large (AMXL) is a single-threaded organization that owns the end-to-end customer experience for heavy and bulky products. AMXL consolidates supply chain, tech, FC operations, transportation, delivery stations, and last mile delivery. We also provide special handling services such as Room of Choice delivery, Haul-Away, and Installation/Assembly for select items. AMXL currently has operations in NA and EU.
We are seeking an experienced supply chain planner for a role on the middle mile long-term planning team, responsible for the design of AMXL's sort center and linehaul network, carrier mix strategy, and the network modeling behind AMXL's externalization initiatives. In this role you will deal with ambiguity, identify problem statements, and develop innovative solutions to improve customer experience, reduce cost, and create a best in class fulfillment network. We make complex problems fun working backwards from our customers!
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
