LAYIQ - Power Plant Specialist at Ameresco, Medford, MA

High School graduate or GED or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
Minimum of 5 years of direct experience with operation and maintenance in an industrial setting.
Experience in power generation, boiler operation, district steam heating, and chilled water system operations.
Must have a working knowledge of reading and interpreting system drawings and/or P&IDs.
Valid US driver’s license required.
Demonstrated organizational and leadership skills are required.
Additional Qualifications: Formal and relevant technical training through military service, trade school, industrial experience, or technical training schools desired.
Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering or technical discipline a plus.
Applicable military and merchant marine experience is highly valued.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook a plus.
Working knowledge of Maximo CMMS a plus.
The anticipated hourly range for this role is $30.77–$44.47 per hour (presented in good faith). In addition to base pay, employees receive a comprehensive benefits package, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off, and may be eligible for performance incentives, bonuses, commissions, or equity, depending on the role.
Actual pay will depend on factors such as internal equity, skills, experience, education, certifications, and location. This range supports our commitment to pay transparency and compliance with applicable laws. Compensation may vary by work location, including remote arrangements.
