The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is a leading institution focused on cancer care, research, education, and prevention. Within the Department of Epidemiology, researchers foster high-quality epidemiological research aimed at acquiring new knowledge related to endpoints across the cancer continuum, from risk through survivorship. The Data Analytics Specialist plays a critical role in supporting these efforts through advanced data analysis, research support, and analytical expertise.
As a member of UT MD Anderson, the Data Analytics Specialist provides critical research and analytical expertise to advance division business goals and objectives. The Data Analytics Specialist works with complex datasets, supports scientific research initiatives, and contributes to data-driven decision making. The Data Analytics Specialist collaborates with researchers and stakeholders to transform data into meaningful insights that support the institution's mission.
The ideal Data Analytics Specialist candidate will have a strong biostatistics background or significant experience as a biostatistician, with expertise in statistical analysis, modeling, and interpretation of complex research or healthcare data. Masters in Biostatistician Proficiency in R is highly desirable. A background in genomics and biomedical research is plus.
Minimum: $37.26/hour • Midpoint: $46.63/hour • Maximum: $56.01/hour
Work Location: Texas Medical Center
The typical work schedule is Hybrid at least 2-3 times a week and additional based on business needs.
