As Administrative Director for the Division of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine, you'll serve as a trusted strategic partner to the Division Head, helping translate priorities into action across a complex organization. You'll play a pivotal role in advancing initiatives across clinical operations, research, and education while keeping leaders connected, priorities aligned, and critical work moving forward at one of the world's leading cancer centers.

You'll also serve as a critical connector across the division and institution. From coordinating communication among senior leaders and supporting institution-level committees and workgroups to helping navigate sensitive issues and facilitating alignment across stakeholders, you'll build relationships throughout the organization and develop a deep understanding of its operational dynamics.
You'll also coordinate tenure-track and Department Chair recruitments, support division-wide governance and communication efforts, and lead special projects assigned by the Division Head and Executive Committee.

**This position will be fully onsite for the first 6 months and then move to 4 days onsite and 1 day remote**
KEY FUNCTIONS
1. Tracks divisional initiatives under the oversight of the Division Head of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine by monitoring progress toward meeting goals and achieving milestones; Coordinates necessary support for follow-through on the part of key players and provides focus for the team and individuals to sustain momentum needed to drive initiatives; Remains connected with team/committee members between meetings. Monitors progress of several teams; provides guidance and removes barriers to success.
2. Assists the Division Head in: a) identifying issues that impact progress towards completion of initiatives, b) executing action items to resolve issues, c) prioritizing efforts, d) setting agendas, e) developing communication plans, and f) drafting communications and presentations to key strategic team members and the institutional team at large.
3. Provides coordination and facilitates communication among leadership team members ensuring strategic alignment of division-level projects; Synthesizes and integrates information and interactions among senior staff members.
4. Acts as liaison between the Division Head on one hand and other constituencies on the other hand, both divisional and institutional; Supports the Division Head as appropriate in communication with other members of the leadership team in cases where there are sensitive issues to be addressed.
5. Briefs Division Head on speaking points and key issues prior to meetings, presentations and other engagements; keeps the Division Head aware of emerging challenges and opportunities.
6. Builds and maintains relationships throughout the division and institution in order to sustain an awareness and understanding of institutional and divisional culture, politics and operational dynamics.
7. Provides project support to institution-level efforts charged to the Division Head, including deliverables for committees and workgroups that have an institutional impact.
8. Provide coordination and confirmation regarding Tenure-Track recruitments with Division/Department offices, Institutional offices, and candidates. Including Department Chair recruitments.
9. Coordinates efforts with Division team members including division-wide communication plans, management of Division governance structure, and special projects assigned by the Division Head/and or Executive Committee across all mission areas (clinical operations, research, education). Resolves barriers to success.
10. Manages divisional staff efforts in meeting goals and achieving milestones.
