The Senior Manager, Commercial Planning serves as the central orchestrator of commercial strategy, promotional governance, and cross-functional business alignment across North America Digital Commerce. This role applies a strong understanding of ecommerce customer journeys, digital merchandising, promotional mechanics, traffic and conversion drivers, and channel economics to connect commercial priorities with on site execution.
The role drives organizational alignment among key cross-functional teams including, but not limited to, Finance, Marketing, Media, Loyalty, Merchandising and Data Analytics to ensure successful execution of commercial priorities, promotional events, and revenue-driving initiatives.
As the owner of the Commercial Calendar governance process, the Senior Manager leads monthly planning forums, facilitates cross-functional decision-making, identifies risks and dependencies, and maintains the organization's promotional roadmap and source of truth for commercial activities.
The role combines strategic planning, forecasting, business performance analysis, and stakeholder leadership to ensure commercial plans are accurately reflected across forecasting, marketing, media investment, inventory planning, and executive reporting processes. By translating complex business data into actionable insights, this role influences financial planning, promotional strategy, demand management, and leadership decision-making.
Success in this position requires strong business acumen, executive communication skills, analytical capability, and the ability to build alignment across a broad network of stakeholders while maintaining disciplined planning governance and operational excellence. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Lead Commercial Calendar governance and serve as the central coordinator for digital promotional planning and on-site execution.
Partner with and facilitate cross-functional planning meetings to align stakeholders on promotions, business priorities, and execution readiness. Maintain and communicate Commercial Calendars as the organization's source of truth for promotional activity and key commercial events. Provide commercial insights and business context to support forecasting, demand planning, and financial planning processes. Develop recurring business reporting, performance analyses, and executive-ready recommendations.
Measure promotional performance across key ecommerce metrics and develop recaps that translate results into future promotional strategies and investment decisions. Identify and communicate business risks, dependencies, and opportunities to support proactive decision-making. Support monthly planning cycles by ensuring commercial activities and assumptions are accurately reflected across planning processes. Drive process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency, planning effectiveness, and cross-functional collaboration.
Qualifications Qualifications & Experience 5-8 years of experience in Planning or with an Ecommerce focus, or a related field. Demonstrated experience supporting forecasting, planning, or commercial execution processes. Strong understanding of ecommerce customer behavior, promotional mechanics, and commercial performance drivers. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret business performance, identify trends, and develop actionable recommendations.
Strong track record of partnering across functions to drive alignment, collaboration, and business results. Proven ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Experience preparing business reviews, performance reporting, and presentations for leadership audiences. Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience working with business intelligence tools such as Power BI or similar reporting platforms.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and facilitate alignment across teams. Experience working with large datasets, forecasting models, reporting tools, and business planning processes preferred. Preferred Competencies Strong business acumen and understanding of key commercial and financial drivers. Ability to build relationships and influence decisions across a matrixed organization without direct authority.
Skilled facilitator who can drive discussions, document decisions, and ensure accountability across stakeholders. Detail-oriented with a focus on governance, accuracy, and process discipline. Proactive problem-solver who identifies risks, dependencies, and opportunities before they impact execution. Comfortable balancing strategic planning responsibilities with hands-on execution and operational support. Continuous improvement mindset with an interest in automation, reporting enhancements, and process optimization.

Benefits The annual base salary range is $115,000.00-$130,000.00 This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short term incentives that align with individual and company performance.
Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Salary is one component of the Foot Locker, Inc. total compensation package, which includes the below.
