We are seeking an experienced Estimator to prepare accurate, competitive bids for commercial interior construction projects. The ideal candidate has direct estimating experience with drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, commercial flooring, and related interior finish systems.
This role manages the estimating process from initial bid review through proposal submission and project handoff, including quantity takeoffs, cost analysis, subcontractor pricing, and bid preparation. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of managing multiple bids and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial interior construction projects involving drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, flooring, and related finishes.
Review architectural drawings, specifications, contracts, addenda, and bid documents to determine project scope.
Perform quantity takeoffs and calculate labor, material, equipment, subcontractor, and other project costs.
Solicit, evaluate, compare, and level bids from subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.
Experience evaluating and leveling subcontractor and supplier bids.
Proficiency with Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, PlanSwift, or similar estimating and takeoff software.
Strong understanding of labor, material, subcontractor, and equipment costs.
Excellent analytical, mathematical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associate's or bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
