Overview

Assists with quality improvement projects, such as Drug Use Evaluations, analysis of interventions etc as requested by Pharmacy Leadership. The pharmacist reviews, interprets and verifies all medication orders and prescriptions received by the pharmacy. Additionally, the pharmacists compounds and dispenses medications and supervises pharmacy technicians and interns who do the same.
The pharmacist will also assist with various clinical activities including rounding, attendance at CODE/Trauma cases, reviewing Pyxis reports for cost saving interventions, and staffing the anticoagulation clinic.
