Job Details
Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing electrophysiology procedures, including EP studies, cardiac ablations, device implantations, cardioversions, and related procedures.
Perform pre-procedure assessments, review medical history, medications, allergies, laboratory results, and diagnostic studies.
Prepare patients for procedures, including IV access, medication administration, patient education, and procedural consent verification.
Monitor patients throughout procedures for changes in cardiac rhythm, vital signs, neurological status, and overall condition.
Administer medications, including moderate sedation and emergency medications, in accordance with provider orders and organizational protocols.
Assist the electrophysiologist and procedural team with sterile technique, equipment preparation, and patient positioning.
Recognize and respond promptly to arrhythmias, hemodynamic instability, bleeding, allergic reactions, and other procedural complications.
Provide post-procedure care, including monitoring for vascular complications, arrhythmias, bleeding, and changes in patient condition.
Educate patients and families regarding procedures, medications, activity restrictions, wound care, and discharge instructions.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, medications, and patient responses.
Collaborate effectively with electrophysiologists, cardiologists, anesthesia providers, radiology/technical staff, and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
Participate in quality-improvement initiatives, patient-safety programs, infection prevention, and ongoing competency development.
Maintain knowledge of current electrophysiology practices, cardiac rhythms, procedural equipment, and emergency response protocols.
Compensation
USD $56.39 - USD $73.66 /Hr.

The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
