IRC is seeking a Digital Content & Marketing Coordinator under the direct supervision of the Information and Referral Service Manager and will support the Washington Immigrant Information Center ( WA-Immigrant.Info ). . The Digital Content & Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for development, management, and dissemination of quality, verified, and relevant client-facing information.
They will manage the social media strategy and dissemination of content on the Washington Immigrant Information Center’s Facebook and Instagram pages. The position is integral within the team and will work closely with Specialists in publishing content through digital and other diverse channels based on need and responding to clients’ information needs.
Continuously monitor web and social media performance indicators, review, and track metrics within Zendesk, flag criticalities, and propose improvements to the communication and marketing strategy
Manage article workflow, including drafting initial copy, coordinating with legal team as needed, working with external translation vendor, and organizing translations on Box and in Monday.com.

§ Provide technical guidance for clear and accessible information provision to Specialists
Manage content calendar in Monday.com
Other Internal and/or external contacts: WA-Immigrant.Info team (Manager, Specialists), IRC Asylum & Protection Technical Unit, WAMASSP, other IRC WA teams, State Agencies and local stakeholders
Success Factors
The ideal Digital Content & Marketing Coordinator is extremely proactive, detail-oriented and organized. They value accurate and error-free content development and dissemination. They are self-directed and reliably complete tasks. They are diplomatic and able to work with a range of peers to gather and verify information. They are tech- and social media-savvy and quick to learn new tools.
BA/BS or equivalent experience in multimedia journalism, digital communications, or relevant field.
Minimum 2+ years of reporting, writing, or editing experience
Minimum 2+ years of digital content management experience, including for online platforms and social media
Knowledge of graphic design software (Canva or Adobe Products) preferred Knowledge of SEO best practices and experience using CMS.
Knowledge of immigration and refugee issues; previous work experience in the immigration field desired.
Demonstrated Skills & Competencies
Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence.
Ability to work independently with remote management.
Fluency in English required, Demonstrated ability to work cross-culturally with empathy, humility, and confidentiality.
Project management experience preferred

Compensation: (Pay Rate: $32-$35.50). Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
