KPMG is one of the most trusted and respected global professional services firms. Through depth of expertise, clarity of insight and strength of purpose we help our clients solve complex problems, steer change, strengthen, transition and grow. We are looking for talented people who share our purpose of inspiring confidence and empowering change for our clients, our people and our communities.
The consulting environment at KPMG is dynamic and fast-paced, offering diverse opportunities to work on challenging projects with leading organisations across various industries. As a consultant at KPMG, you will be part of a collaborative team that provides strategic insights and innovative solutions to help clients address complex business issues and drive growth.
You will work with experienced professionals who are committed to delivering high-quality services and fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
Alongside this, we expect our people to engage in ongoing learning and responsible practice in relation to the cultural history, societal interests, and identity of Aotearoa New Zealand, and to reflect that learning in their behaviour, advice, and outcomes.
The Opportunity:: This Manager role is part of our Risk Consulting team and is responsible to the Partner, or delegate, for managing and delivering high-quality work on engagements to meet client’s needs.
The focus will primarily on managing the delivery of a portfolio of internal audit services to clients, while also demonstrating flexibility in working on other consulting projects as required.
The client portfolio is largely Christchurch based, with some, occasional, travel required to other South Island locations.
What You'll Bring To Our Team:: At least 6+ years of relevant practical consulting or experience in a risk associated role, with a strong understanding of governance, risk and controls. Experience in the Big 4 is advantageous but not essential.
A relevant professional qualification
Have an ability to think strategically
Be comfortable with ambiguity and have the confidence to solve problems and to fill gaps in knowledge by questioning, collaborating with others and researching technical and contractual documentation
Experience in proving independent quality assurance (IQA) on transformation projects would be advantageous. In addition, knowledge of complex ERP solutions or commonly used financial management systems would help set you apart from other applications. Equally an internal audit specialism in another functional or technical discipline would also be favoured.
Recruitment Agencies: The recruitment for this role is being managed directly by the KPMG Talent Acquisition team. We will contact our preferred agency partners if we require agency assistance. Thank you for your understanding.
