Liquid Personnel is recruiting an experienced Senior Occupational Therapist for our client to join a Children's Occupational Therapy Service in Blackburn on an initial 3-month locum contract, with potential for extension.
You will support children and young people aged 0–19 with complex disabilities and additional needs, helping them maximise independence and participation at home and in educational settings.
What will your responsibilities be?
Assess children and young people with complex physical disabilities, medical needs, autism and neurodiverse conditions.
Conduct home and school visits to assess functional abilities and environmental barriers.
Recommend specialist equipment and adaptations to support daily living, postural management and accessibility.
Complete moving and handling assessments and develop safe handling plans.
Assess for major and minor home adaptations, including Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) applications.
