The Google hardware safety team focuses on designing and delivering the world's most helpful products. The team works on shaping the future of consumer hardware devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google’s artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to create transformative experiences for users across the world.
As a Product Safety Engineer, you will be working closely with cross-functional teams focused on field safety, laboratory analysis, failure modes, root cause analysis, batteries, and electrical circuits. Your work will focus on a broad range of smart home devices, phones, laptops, tablets, other wearables, and accessories. You'll evaluate field failures and customer complaints, perform benchtop laboratory examination, research device usage statistics, and determine root cause.
