Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 -
Processes and supplies sterilized medical equipment, linen and supplies. Essential Job Functions:
Performs packing, wrapping, marking, autoclaving and issuing activities required to process and supply sterilized linens, equipment, devices, instruments, etc. for use throughout the hospital in accordance with established procedures.
Performs quality control test on all equipment prior to use, including a daily test on steam, Sterrad, and gas sterilizers. Inspects all surgical linens for stains and holes. Removes all lint from linen prior to its use. Must set up all oral and gastric suctions and maintain the crash, catheter and urological carts.
