o Lead the planning, evaluation and execution of key new product development initiatives. Includes (1) the enablement of the regions to develop local products with autonomy and (2) partnership with the Integrated Supply Chain leaders to ensure products are designed for manufacturability using leading Operational Excellence tools and processes (Lean).

· Technology Development: o Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and market dynamics to inform strategic decision-making. Drive the development and integration of advanced technologies, such as IoT, AI, and machine learning, into HVAC products and services.
o Lead Networks of Excellence (NoE) to identify and foster key alliances with academic institutions, outside labs, partner companies and suppliers in order to enhance the advanced technology thinking and capabilities of the business.
o Ensure the protection of intellectual property and the development of a robust patent portfolio.
· Collaboration and Communication: o Foster strong cross-functional relationships with other departments, including sales, marketing, operations, and customer service, to ensure cohesive and aligned efforts.
o Communicate engineering and technology strategies, progress, and outcomes to internal and external stakeholders, including the executive team, board of directors, and customers.
· Financial Management: o Develop and manage the engineering and technology budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial targets.
o Evaluate and manage risks associated with engineering projects and technology investments.
o Influences and ensures execution of the strategic technology roadmap, investments, and appropriate resource commitments.
