Job Description
Corporate tax, trade, legal, and risk leaders face mounting regulatory complexity, fast-moving technology change, and limited resources. As generative AI reshapes their work, they’ll rely on technology they can trust: fiduciary-grade AI grounded in authoritative content.
This role leads the content engine behind our full-stack marketing strategy. You’ll set the editorial agenda for the Corporates market, shape how corporate professionals think about the future of their work, and build content programs that drive demand across our tax, legal, and risk portfolios. You’ll turn product capabilities into stories about the outcomes corporate buyers care about.
You’ll report to the VP of Marketing, Corporates. You’ll partner closely with Brand, Product Marketing, Demand Generation, Sales Enablement, Thomson Reuters Institute, Communications, Product, and Sales leadership. You’ll lead a team of content managers, writers, and producers across all three portfolios. The role balances portfolio-spanning strategy with hands-on writing and editing.
Key Responsibilities
Editorial strategy. The themes, narratives, and point of view we bring to the Corporates market across tax, legal, and risk. Ground them in deep customer understanding, commercial priorities, and a clear competitive read. Define content pillars and messaging frameworks that tie each portfolio’s story to the broader Corporates narrative.
Content that drives pipeline. Demand generation content for nurture and conversion, sales enablement, ABM and segment-specific content, and integrated content for launches and campaigns. Cover the full buyer journey, from awareness through adoption, renewal, and advocacy. Work with sales leadership to turn win/loss insights into sharper solution-selling content.
Search and answer-engine visibility. Organic SEO plus AEO, so our content is structured, cited, and positioned to surface in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Google AI Overviews, and other generative search experiences.
The content operating model. Editorial calendar, production workflows, and distribution across paid, owned, earned, and partner channels. Own the measurement framework that ties content to business outcomes, using Salesforce, multi-touch attribution, SEO/AEO analytics, and content analytics. Report on impact to leadership.
Team and partner network. A high-performing team of content leaders, writers, and producers, extended through our internal Studio, agencies, and contributor network. Set expectations, coach on strategy and craft, and model the work by writing, editing, and producing content yourself.
Cross-functional alignment. Work with strategy leads and product teams across tax, legal, and risk to set channel mix, turn feature announcements into customer narratives, and align content with marketing and sales priorities.
Required Qualifications
7+ years in content strategy and editorial leadership at a B2B SaaS, professional services, or media company, with 3+ years leading and scaling a team. Experience across multiple product lines or business units is ideal.
A track record of building original content programs that moved a market, not just produced volume. You can point to specific franchises and what they earned the business.
Strong editorial judgment. You can read a draft, name what’s wrong with it, and rewrite the lead yourself. You can flex tone and depth across distinct audiences (tax, legal, risk/compliance).
A gift for storytelling and solution selling. You turn complex, technical capabilities into a clear story about business outcomes, not a features list.
Fluency with AI content tools and a clear point of view on using them without flattening voice or eroding accuracy.
Familiarity with SEO and emerging AEO practices, and with how corporate buyers research and validate solutions as search behavior shifts.
Comfort working with senior executives, including extracting their point of view, ghostwriting at their level, and pushing back when needed.
Fluency with content performance data and marketing analytics (Salesforce, marketing automation, multi-touch attribution). You manage to numbers without losing the craft.
Familiarity with the modern content stack: CMS, content operations platforms (Workfront, Contently, Writer), SEO and analytics tools, and AI-assisted production.
Strong interpersonal skills. You can influence cross-functional teams across multiple portfolios and build alignment with tact and clarity.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in B2B, legal, regulated, or professional services markets. If you don’t have it, you’ve moved into a complex vertical before and gotten smart fast.
Nice to have: demand generation, ABM, customer advocacy programs, building content functions from the ground up, or marketing multiple portfolios to a shared buyer.
Why this role, and why now
Corporate tax, legal, and risk teams are under pressure to do more with less while AI changes their work. We offer authoritative content, deep customer relationships, and a serious AI platform. The content function sits at the center of how we win with the Corporates market. The leader in this seat will shape what we say and how corporate professionals think about the work ahead.
