The Maintenance Assistant supports the Maintenance Director in maintaining a safe, clean, comfortable, and well-functioning environment for residents, visitors, and employees of The Terraces Orleans. This position assists with routine maintenance, repairs, building upkeep, and seasonal needs throughout the community.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs as directed.
Assist with basic plumbing, electrical, heating, cooling, and general building maintenance.
Assist with maintaining resident rooms, common areas, grounds, and equipment.
Assist with snow removal, waste removal, and other seasonal facility needs.
Assist with ensuring smoke detectors and fire safety equipment are maintained and report issues when identified.
Assist with inspections and required safety checks as directed.
Coordinate with outside vendors when requested by the Maintenance Director.
